This past weekend was so beautiful.

There was a chill in the air and pumpkin picking on our minds.

One of MY favorite parts of our fall day trips is the scenery to and from.

But if you ask my girls, theirs would be the PUMPKINS!

So many different varieties…..

These wheelbarrows are just too small.

It’s different here…and we like it:)

A hay ride and a picnic lunch took us into the afternoon.

A perfect ending.

Now on to the apple orchards for some apple fritters…..

Fall is here.

I want to thank all of you who have stopped in, did a drive by or stopped and read awhile.  Today marks one year that I started this little blog full of short stories, discoveries and some good food.  I appreciate all of your support, encouragement and comments.  I’ve discovered that my extracurricular activity has brought me a lot of joy and more new friends.   And for this next year, I hope to entertain and find more scrumptious recipes.

We had constant rain for two days which brought in cooler weather.  I think several people had the same idea as I saw chili leftovers all over the office.  I love chili, especially on a cold and rainy night.  It can serve a crowd, great for tailgating and wonderful waiting for you in a crock pot after a day of fall festivity adventures.

Let me first apologize and say….

I was starving.  My family was complaining about how hungry they were.  So I bypassed all photos until the glory shot in the end, and it’s not the greatest either.  So I promise going forward I will have more photos and a recipe to follow.  But it was my first pot, and there will be many more with several variations.
